Reggie Szatny (Zat-knee) is a U.S. Army Veteran originally from the Fishtown/Kensington section of Philadelphia and raised in Pine Hill, New Jersey. Inspired to serve following 9/11, Reggie enlisted in the Army in May 2002 at age 31, specializing in Army Communications. His military career began in Landstuhl, Germany, and included his last deployment to Camp Taji, Iraq, with the 1st Cavalry Division's "Iron Horse" Brigade in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom (OIF/OEF 06-08). Reggie concluded his over 14 years of dedicated service in 2016 with U.S. Army NATO in Naples, Italy, exiting the Army due to service-related injuries. Now living in Monroeville, New Jersey, Reggie holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice (concentration in Investigative Forensics) from Excelsior University and a Master of Science in Homeland Security (concentration in Emergency Management and Intelligence Analysis) from Saint Joseph’s University Philadelphia. Reggie has a 100% VA disability rating and actively advocates for fellow wounded warriors, leveraging his personal journey to help other veterans navigate the transition from military service to civilian life
